Please support the campaign against the thoughtless use of strimmers. These cause mutilation and suffering to various forms of wildlife; hedgehogs, frogs etc. that might be hiding in the long grass of your garden.
Welcome to the Online Animal Sanctuary and Rescue Centre database sponsored by European Education Consultants, specialsts in Educational Health and Safety. They provide online Risk Management and External Visit systems for educational establishments of all age groups; customisable online Audit systems for Authorities and others; online Accident Reporting systems that are fully RIDDOR compatible and Case Management systems for Child Welfare.
Urgent Appeal:
For anyone who has a new sanctuary to add to the site please would you enter the details via the Add New page. This makes the administration of the site that little bit easier. Given that I run this site as a personal interest and a public facility and that it does not generate any income, anything that makes things easier is a plus with me. Entering a new sanctuary automatically generates an email to me to inform me of the new addition and, once the entry has been vetted, it can easily be sent to the live list.
Once you have found the Centre or Sanctuary you've been searching for, possibly (probably) because you have or know of an animal that requires help, please don't just use them and forget them. All the sanctuaries on this site (as well as the dozens of others that I don't yet know of) from the small to the large, are always short of funds or, in some cases, a helping hand. The smallest amount of either can sometimes mean the difference between their survival and closure. If you make a donation and you are a tax payer then see if the centre is a registered charity that can accept gift aid. It doesn't cost the giver anything but puts a few more coppers in the centre's funds.
